Uncle Johnny and Dawn were out last weekend for a visit. The King and I met up with them last Sunday night for dinner at Joe DiMaggio's place in North Beach. We were curious as to why he picked that place because it was a little far from where they were staying. Turns out, the restaurant sells his wine. He had a list of all the places that sell his wine. The food was very good and so was his wine. We then took them to Napa on Monday to visit some wineries. His broker in Tulsa had arranged some tours at wineries that they represent. We went to a few new ones for us and then took them to a couple that we like so he
could try some California wines. We had a really good time and then we took them to Chinatown for dinner. He must have found some other wine besides what he sells that he liked because he bought 10 bottles. On Tuesday we took them over to Lombard Street and then to the Palace of Fine Arts before heading over to Sausalito and the Golden Gate Bridge. We then took them back to Fisherman's Wharf for lunch at Ciopino's a seafood place so Dawn could have some more Dungeness Crab before they left. I wasn't sure what it would be like at first to see him and be reminded of Dad, but it was a lot of fun and hope they had as good a time as we did.
